About “The Rider”

Symbolically, the image of Death on a carousel implies the cyclic nature of “The End.” I prefer at more literal take:  Death visiting the amusement park, caught up in a rare moment of carefree abandon and lost in the thrill of the ride.

This painting is part of the series “The End is Near” which was exhibited at M Modern Gallery, Las Vegas, in May of 2007.
